An excerpt from our upcoming “Mirror Mirror 6!” message!

There are so many voices telling us ‘who’ we are from the time we are born. Some of these voices are good and yet some are not so good! Many people live and die and never really find their true identities. Instead, they ‘identify’ with a television personality or a sports figure. Some people identity with a problem: “I am divorced”; “I am an alcoholic”; or “I am bulimic”. Others have their ‘identities’ wrapped up in their work. “I am a mechanic”; “I am a nurse”; “I am a teacher.” Though many of these things are wonderful and we work hard with the giftings we have been given, these items are ‘things we DO and not identifications of ‘WHO WE ARE!’ If we were ever to lose one of these things, and we have placed all of our ‘identification’ in them, boy oh boy, will we be sunk! It was never meant to be that way!

God has a ‘spiritual identification’ for you! When you are ‘in Christ’ (in union with Him) your SPIRITUAL IDENTIFICATION is stronger than your physical one! This is great news, because whatever you have placed your ‘identity’ in, (whether good or not so good as mentioned above), the reality of your redemption (what Jesus did for you), will swallow up your old identity! In Christ, (in union with Him) sits an entire new race! And YOU are a brand new creation! And He has a PERFECT PURPOSE AND PLAN ALREADY LINED UP WAITING JUST FOR YOU! (Like a hand in a glove!)

It is VITAL for us to understand who GOD SAYS WE ARE and what He has seen for us since the beginning. Again, many other voices will compete for that spot!

If you have been ‘hiding’ behind a ‘veil’ or ‘mask’ of trying to be like someone else; identifying only with your job; always ‘labeling’ yourself as ‘the divorced one’ or ‘the salesperson’, etc. cast off that mask; that ‘veil’! WE NEED THE REAL YOU! WE NEED ‘THE REAL YOU’ WHO GOD SAW FROM THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE EARTH! WE WANT YOUR FINGERPRINT TO MAKE ITS MARK! NOT A COPY OF SOMEONE ELSE’S!!!!!

Ephesians 2:10 - For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
